About the series
In 1949 and 1950, the Danish publisher Allers brought the legendary newspaper strip Prins Valiant to the comic book format for a brief, two-issue run. This series adapted the medieval adventures of the noble knight Valiant, originally created by Hal Foster, into a compact comic book experience for European readers. Though short-lived, it stands as an early example of the strip's international reach and its transition from newspaper pages to periodical comics.
