Prentverhale, launched by Atlas Publications in 1960, is a landmark South African comic series that blends local folklore with classic adventure storytelling. Associated with the creative team of artist Tom Duxbury and writer John Cartwright, the series draws on Afrikaans and African traditions to craft tales of mystery and heroism.
