About the series
In 1994, DC's Vertigo imprint launched Preacher Preview, a single-issue precursor to the acclaimed series Preacher. Written by Garth Ennis with art by Steve Dillon, this comic introduces the key players and tone of the sprawling, darkly satirical saga to come. As a standalone sampler, it set the stage for one of the most distinctive and irreverent runs in modern comics.
