Popeye the Sailor

In the early 1980s, Yaffa / Page presented a seven-issue run of Popeye the Sailor, featuring the classic, humorously brawling mariner in all his spinach-fueled glory. The series is most notably associated with Bud Sagendorf, the longtime writer and artist who carried on the character's beloved newspaper strip tradition. With additional art by Pierluigi Sangalli, these comics offer a compact but charming slice of Popeye's misadventures, preserving the timeless, good-natured chaos of Segar's creation for a new generation of readers.
