Placid et Muzo

In the pages of the French publisher Éditions Vaillant, Placid et Muzo ran for eleven issues from 1950 to 1962, chronicling the gentle, humorous adventures of its two animal protagonists. A minor but charming entry in postwar European comics, the series is most closely associated with its creator, whose lighthearted tone and simple, expressive art defined its decade-spanning run.
