Piracy

Piracy (1954–1955) was EC Comics' seven-issue foray into high-seas adventure, a short-lived but visually rich series that traded horror for historical and fictional tales of buccaneers, privateers, and treasure hunts. Most often drawn by the meticulous Reed Crandall, whose detailed linework brought ships, storms, and swordplay to vivid life, the series stands as a polished example of EC's mid-1950s pivot toward more mature, non-horror genres.
