Pipo Spécial

Editions Lug’s Pipo Spécial (1953–1959) was a compact, 24-issue French comics anthology that blended adventure, humor, and science fiction for a young audience. Known for its distinctive square-bound format and featuring the mischievous title character Pipo—a classic French comic kid—the series showcased early work from local talents like Jean Cézard, while also introducing translated European strips to French readers. A cornerstone of Lug’s post-war lineup, it helped define the playful, energetic tone of French children’s comics in the 1950s.
