Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer

A darkly comic reimagining of Carlo Collodi's classic, Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer launched from Slave Labor Graphics in 2010. Written and illustrated by Dusty Higgins, the series twists the wooden boy's famous nose—now a perfect vampire-killing stake—into a weapon against a plague of the undead. This one-shot issue launched a premise that would later expand into a full series, offering a clever, horror-inflected take on a beloved fairy tale.
