About the series
In 2011, Image Comics launched Pilot Season: City of Refuge, a single-issue superhero thriller by writer Morgan Davis Foehl and artist Dennis Calero. The story follows a former superhero who has abandoned his life of crime-fighting to become a priest, only to have his past resurface when a mysterious figure threatens his new congregation. As a Pilot Season entry, it was designed as a standalone concept to test reader interest for a potential ongoing series.
