In the early 1980s, Fred returned to his most beloved creation for a second, compact run of three albums with Dargaud Benelux. These later Philémon adventures continue the series' signature blend of surreal fantasy and poetic whimsy, following the boy from a French village who travels to the letters of the word "ATLANTIC" floating on the ocean. Fred's singular, dreamlike art and storytelling remain the defining voice of this cult classic, cementing its place as a cornerstone of European fantastical comics.
