Phantom Lady (2014–present) is a German-published revival of the classic Golden Age heroine, running for 11 issues from BSV Hannover. The series channels the spirit of 1940s crime and horror comics, with the bulk of its storytelling handled by writers Gregory Page and Eckhard Friedrich. Visually, it leans heavily on the iconic, moody artwork of Matt Baker and the sleek, sinister style of Jack Kamen, two masters of mid-century comics. This collection matters as a deliberate, affectionate homage to the pre-Code era, preserving the pulp energy and daring visuals that defined the character's original run.
