About the series
In the mid-1970s, Greek publisher Kabanas Hellas brought Lee Falk's legendary jungle hero to local readers with a dedicated series simply titled Φαντομ [Phantom]. Running for 80 issues from 1975 to 1976, this weekly comic presented the adventures of the Ghost Who Walks, a costumed crimefighter operating from the fictional African jungle of Bangalla. While the series featured the classic newspaper strip stories by Falk and his artistic collaborators, it stands as a notable piece of Greek comics history for its sustained, self-contained run during a vibrant period for imported adventure comics.
