Phénix - L'oiseau de feu

From 2000 to 2002, Tonkam published Phénix - L'oiseau de feu, an 11-issue French-language series that adapts Osamu Tezuka's legendary, sprawling manga saga about an immortal, cosmic bird whose appearances across time and space explore themes of life, death, and rebirth. The project is most closely associated with its writer and artist, the celebrated French cartoonist Moebius (Jean Giraud), who brought his own visionary, psychedelic style to Tezuka's epic narrative. This collaboration between two of the medium's greatest masters makes Phénix - L'oiseau de feu a significant and visually stunning bridge between Japanese and European comic traditions.
