Personal Romances

A six-issue romance series published by Yaffa / Page beginning in 1972, Personal Romances is most closely associated with the moody, expressive artwork of Spanish artist Emilio Freixas Baleitó, whose illustrations gave the title a distinctive European flair. Though brief, the series offered a compact, emotionally charged slice of the romance comics tradition, with Freixas’s signature style lending a timeless, intimate quality to its stories.
