Penguins of Madagascar

A four-issue comic series from Ape Entertainment (2010–2011), The Penguins of Madagascar adapts the animated show’s fast-paced, deadpan humor into comic form. Writers Dave Server and Jackson Lanzing, with artist Antonio Campo, chronicle the covert missions of the Central Park Zoo’s elite bird squad—Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private—as they outwit Dr. Blowhole and other zany foes. It’s a lighthearted, gag-filled extension of the Nickelodeon series that captures the team’s signature blend of slapstick and spycraft.
