In the late 1960s and early '70s, Norwegian publisher Illustrerte Klassikere / Williams Forlag released Pellefants julefest, a seven-issue holiday comic series centered on the gentle elephant character Pellefant. Most frequently drawn by Swedish creator Rune Andréasson, these festive annuals offered young readers a warm, whimsical escape each Christmas season.
