About the series
In the early 1950s, Bell Features briefly brought together a rotating roster of adventure, mystery, and humor features in Parade of the Stars (1951–1952), a three-issue anthology series. Regular contributors Joe Maneely and Sol Brodsky provided the bulk of the artwork across its short run, offering a snapshot of the pre-Code era's varied comic-book landscape. Though it never achieved lasting fame, the series stands as a modest artifact of Canadian publisher Bell Features' attempt to compete with American giants in the waning days of the Golden Age.
