Papiervögel

Launched in 2025 by Edition Moderne, Papiervögel is a Swiss comic series written by Christoph Schuler and Mana Neyestani, with Neyestani also providing the art. The series explores the lives of refugees and migrants in contemporary Europe, drawing on Neyestani's own experiences as an Iranian-born cartoonist. Its intimate, socially conscious storytelling marks a significant addition to German-language comics, highlighting the human stories behind the headlines.
