Panic

Condor’s short-lived Panic (1983–1984) was a horror anthology series that ran for eight issues, offering a mix of standalone terror tales and recurring features. Best remembered for its striking painted covers and the work of writer/artist Richard Corben, the series leaned into visceral, often grotesque storytelling that pushed the boundaries of independent comics at the time. While it didn’t achieve the longevity of its contemporaries, Panic remains a cult touchstone for fans of 1980s horror and a showcase for Corben’s distinctive, muscular style.
