Painted Desert

Set in a stark, otherworldly landscape, Painted Desert is a short-lived but visually striking series from Sherpa. Running for just two issues beginning in 2011, the comic was shaped by writer Pieter van Oudheusden and artist Lode Devroe, whose collaboration brought a distinctive, painterly feel to the book. Its brief existence makes it a curious footnote for fans of European-influenced independent comics.
