Oz: The Manga

In the mid-2000s, Antarctic Press reimagined L. Frank Baum's classic Oz stories as a manga-influenced comic series, with writer/artist David Hutchison adapting the original tales alongside Baum himself. Running eight issues from 2005 to 2006, this fusion of American fantasy and Japanese visual style offered a fresh, stylized take on the beloved land of Oz. It stands as a unique cross-cultural experiment in the world of licensed comics.
