Our Gang with Tom & Jerry
Dell · 1947–1949 · 20 issues
About the series
Based on the popular MGM cartoon characters, this Dell Comics series ran for twenty issues from 1947 to 1949, adapting the classic cat-and-mouse mayhem of Tom and Jerry into comic form. The title also incorporated the "Our Gang" name, bringing in animal pals like Barney Bear, Benny Burro, and Tuffy for additional slapstick adventures. Jack Cosgriff handled most of the writing, while artists including Dan Gormley, Harvey Eisenberg, and Tom Hickey brought the energetic, cartoonish visuals to each issue. It stands as a key early example of licensed comic book fun from the Golden Age.
