A short-lived 2019–2020 series from Kōdansha, Onna Senshi tte Motenai desu ne! (roughly, "A Female Warrior Isn't Popular!") is a comedic fantasy manga that turns the adventuring hero trope on its head. The premise follows a female warrior who, despite her battle prowess, finds herself utterly unlucky in love and social standing. Though it ran for only three issues, the series earned a reputation for its sharp, self-aware humor and its playful subversion of RPG-inspired gender expectations.
