Old Boy

In 2006–2007, Carlsen Comics [DE] published this four-issue German edition of the acclaimed manga Old Boy, based on the original Japanese story by Garon Tsuchiya and illustrated by Nobuaki Minegishi, with translation and adaptation by Dorothea Überall. The series follows a man imprisoned for a decade without explanation, who emerges into a world of brutal revenge and psychological mystery. This edition brought the dark, influential tale to German readers, preserving the stark artwork and twisting narrative that made the source material a landmark in modern manga.
