About the series
A delightfully absurd series from NBM, Oddballz collects the English translations of French cartoonists Lewis Trondheim and Manu Larcenet’s madcap short stories, originally published from 2002 onward across eight issues. With Trondheim also serving as co-writer alongside Joe Johnson, the series revels in surreal, gag-driven humor, often featuring a cast of bizarre animal characters and deadpan, philosophical absurdity. It matters as a prime example of the playful, inventive spirit of early-2000s European comics finding an English-language audience.
