Obras Maestras

A Spanish-language series from Planeta DeAgostini that ran from 1991 to 2000, Obras Maestras collected classic storylines from major publishers, with a heavy focus on the defining work of Frank Miller and his frequent collaborators David Mazzucchelli and Klaus Janson. Writers Francisco Pérez Navarro and Jesús Carruesco also contributed to the series, which served as a curated introduction to landmark American comics for a European audience. Its 37-issue run remains a notable artifact of the early-90s boom in translated, prestige-format reprints.
