About the series
From 1940 to 1954, the Brazilian series O Lobinho (2ª Série) brought American-style superheroics to Portuguese-speaking readers through 159 issues published by Grande Consórcio Suplementos Nacionais. Anchored by the prolific writing of Bill Finger and the iconic art of Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson, the series adapted the adventures of Batman and Robin—here known as "Lobinho" and "Gurizinho"—for a new audience. It stands as a significant early example of international comic-book licensing, introducing Batman's dark, detective-driven world to Brazil during the Golden Age.
