About the series
A pioneering Brazilian comic series, O Herói ran for 100 issues from 1947 to 1955, published by Editora Brasil-América (EBAL). The series is most closely associated with the art of Bob Lubbers, whose work defined its visual identity across the run. As one of EBAL's early flagship titles, it helped establish the publisher's presence in the post-war Brazilian comics market.
