Novela Gráfica

From 2015 onward, the Portuguese publisher Levoir launched Novela Gráfica, a series of 12 self-contained comic albums that adapt classic works of world literature into a graphic novel format. Each volume pairs a different writer and artist, bringing novels by authors such as Eça de Queirós, Dostoyevsky, and Kafka to a new audience through sequential art. The series stands out for its literary ambition and for introducing international readers to Portuguese graphic storytelling, with notable contributions from creators like Miguel Rocha and João Miguel Lameiras.
