A beloved fixture of Brazilian comics stands, Nova Coleção Walt Disney was launched by Editora Brasil-América (EBAL) in 1952. Though its run consisted of only 8 issues, this series played a key role in introducing classic Disney characters—from Mickey Mouse to Donald Duck and their sprawling supporting cast—to a new generation of Brazilian readers through beautifully presented, full-color stories. It remains a touchstone for collectors and historians as one of the earliest dedicated Disney comic series in the country.
