Nostromo

In Nostromo (2025–present, Daedalus), writer Joseph Conrad’s classic novel is adapted into a comics format by Kristof Smits and artist Maël, who also contributes to the writing. Set in the fictional South American port of Sulaco, the series explores themes of greed, revolution, and personal integrity through the story of a silver mine and the enigmatic title character. With only one issue released so far, this collaboration brings a literary heavyweight to the medium, offering a fresh visual interpretation of a dense, character-driven narrative.
