About the series
In the grim, sunless world of Nocterra, humanity has been driven underground by a darkness that transforms any living thing caught in its rays into monstrous beings. This Image Comics series, launched in 2021, follows a skilled ferryman who guides survivors through the perpetual night in a heavily fortified bus. Created by writer Scott Snyder and artist Tony S. Daniel, the series quickly established itself as a tense, horror-tinged road story about survival and the flickering hope of reaching a safe haven called "Sundog." Its high-concept premise and striking visuals made it a standout debut in Image's modern horror lineup.
