Nissens jul

Published by Bladkompaniet (later Schibsted) across nearly a century, Nissens jul is a Norwegian Christmas comic annual that ran for 37 issues between 1929 and 2012. The series blended original stories with folk tales and adaptations, most often illustrated and written by Bjarne Kristoffersen and InkaLill, with later contributions from artist Arild Midthun. A beloved seasonal tradition, it helped define the visual and narrative language of the Norwegian nisse.
