Niourk

In 2012–2013, Dark Dragon Books published a two-issue comic adaptation of Niourk, the classic French sci-fi novel by Stefan Wul. Brought to the page by writer/artist Olivier Vatine, with Dutch translation by Jan Verdegaal, this series follows a young boy navigating a post-apocalyptic Earth, where a strange black city holds the key to humanity's forgotten past. Vatine's lush, detailed artwork brings a haunting beauty to this desolate world, making it a visually striking entry in European sci-fi comics.
