About the series
In the late 1990s, French publisher Glénat released Ninkù, a nine-issue comic series that blends science fiction with ecological themes. Conceived by writer Jean-David Morvan and artist Yann, the story follows a young boy on a post-apocalyptic Earth, where he bonds with a mysterious, powerful creature in a struggle against environmental collapse. Though brief, the series is remembered for its lush, expressive artwork and its thoughtful, melancholy take on humanity’s relationship with nature.
