In 1982, German publisher Bastei Verlag launched a six-issue comic series adapting Selma Lagerlöf's beloved children's novel about a boy who travels across Sweden on the back of a goose. Though brief, the series is a charming, faithful retelling of a classic story, notable for bringing the literary adventure to a new generation through the comic format.
