Nightmare Suspense Picture Library

A brief but lurid entry from the British publisher MV Features, Nightmare Suspense Picture Library ran for just 16 issues between 1966 and 1967, each a standalone horror-thriller presented in a painted picture-strip format. Known for its moody, atmospheric covers and interiors by a rotating roster of anonymous artists, the series specialized in compact, twist-filled tales of suspense and the macabre. While creator credits remain largely unrecorded, its distinctive, often gothic painted art style marked it as a notable example of the British "picture library" horror boom of the 1960s.
