Nero: De Stallaert jaren

From 2018 onward, Standaard Uitgeverij revived the classic Flemish newspaper hero Nero in a new series, Nero: De Stallaert jaren, with Dirk Stallaert at the artistic helm across its first ten issues. This run continues the beloved, whimsical adventures of the eccentric Nero and his quirky supporting cast, updating the strip's signature blend of surreal humor and sharp social satire for a modern audience. Stallaert's clean, expressive linework and storytelling keep the spirit of Marc Sleen's original alive while bringing a fresh, contemporary energy to the series.
