About the series
From 2003 to 2017, Norwegian publisher Hjemmet/Egmont brought readers the long-running comic series Nemi, a gothic-humored slice-of-life anchored by its iconic, black-clad protagonist, Nemi Montoya. Created and primarily written by Lise Myhre, the series was visually shaped by a core artistic team including Myhre, Kim Holm, and Astrid Hansen across its 160-issue run. Blending punk attitude with everyday absurdity, Nemi became a beloved fixture in Scandinavian comics, celebrated for its sharp, affectionate take on outsider culture and the quirks of modern life.
