Nelvana of the Northern Lights

A charmingly obscure Canadian revival, Nelvana of the Northern Lights (1990–present, Kenny Moran Comix) is a single-issue homage to the Golden Age heroine who predated Wonder Woman. This comic reimagines Nelvana, an Inuit demigoddess and protector of the Arctic, through the independent lens of creator Kenny Moran. While the run is brief, it stands as a loving tribute to one of Canada's first superheroes, preserving her unique cultural and historical significance for a new generation.
