Neil Gaiman's Teknophage
Big Entertainment · 1995–1996 · 10 issues
About the series
In the mid-1990s, Big Entertainment launched this 10-issue series that spins out of the Teknophage universe, with Rick Veitch and Paul Jenkins as its primary writers and Bryan Talbot and Al Davison handling most of the art. The story follows the immortal, reptilian Teknophage, a powerful and amoral being who rules a dystopian world through psychic manipulation and advanced technology. Though Neil Gaiman's name appears in the title, the series is a collaborative expansion of concepts he helped originate, offering a dark, cerebral take on science fiction and horror. It stands as a distinctive artifact of the era's creator-driven experiments in genre comics.
