Näkymättömät ihmiset

Will Eisner’s classic exploration of urban loneliness, Näkymättömät ihmiset (The Invisible People), was published in Finland by Jalava in 1993 as a single-issue translation of his seminal graphic novel. Soile Kaukoranta provided the Finnish adaptation, bringing Eisner’s poignant, wordless vignettes of Depression-era city dwellers to a new audience. This series matters as a key entry point for Finnish readers into the work of a master storyteller who helped define the graphic novel form.
