About the series
Based on the popular radio and film comedy, My Friend Irma ran for 46 issues from 1950 to 1955 under the Marvel (then Atlas) banner. Stan Lee scripted the series, with Dan DeCarlo providing the cheerful, clean artwork that defined Irma’s madcap misadventures and her long-suffering friend Jane. A lighthearted slice of post-war humor, it showcased the talents of a future Archie Comics legend before he defined Riverdale.
