Mumin

In the early 1980s, Swedish publisher Albinsson & Sjöberg brought Tove Jansson’s beloved Moomins to a new generation with a 14-issue comic series simply titled Mumin. Running from 1981 to 1983, this series adapted the gentle, whimsical adventures of the Moomintroll family for a Scandinavian audience, staying true to Jansson’s original spirit. While not a direct continuation of Jansson’s own comic strip work, it stands as a charming, faithful re-presentation of her world, notable for introducing the Moomins to a wider readership in a dedicated comic format.
