About the series
Ms. Marvel (1975–present, Editorial OEPISA) is a short-lived but significant five-issue series that introduced the first female Muslim superhero to headline her own comic. Published during the Bronze Age of comics, the series is most associated with writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona, whose vibrant storytelling and character-driven art defined the heroine's modern origin. Though brief, this run laid the foundational character and tone for the beloved Ms. Marvel, making it a key starting point for one of Marvel's most celebrated contemporary heroes.
