Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard

In 2010, David Petersen and Archaia Studios Press expanded the world of Mouse Guard with Legends of the Guard, a quarterly anthology series where mice from across the territories gather at the June Alley Inn to swap tall tales. Each issue collects self-contained stories by a rotating roster of talent—including Karl Kerschl and Jason Shawn Alexander—with Petersen providing the framing sequences and his signature painted art. The series stands as a warm, inventive showcase for the Mouse Guard mythos, allowing guest creators to play within its medieval-mouse setting without advancing the main plot.
