Mouse Guard

In 2006, David Petersen launched Mouse Guard at Archaia Studios Press, a six-issue fantasy series that reimagined medieval adventure through the eyes of tiny, anthropomorphic mice. Petersen, the sole writer and artist, crafted a richly detailed world where brave mouse warriors protect their territories from predators and the harsh elements, blending intricate watercolor art with a quiet, epic tone. The series quickly became a cornerstone of independent comics, celebrated for its meticulous world-building and heartfelt storytelling that appealed to readers of all ages.
