About the series
Jody Houser brought a visceral, noir sensibility to this short-lived DC series, which ran for just two issues in 2017–2018. With haunting artwork by John Paul Leon and Tommy Lee Edwards, Mother Panic introduced a new vigilante in Gotham City, exploring the city's gothic underworld through a brutal, psychological lens. Though brief, its sharp focus on a flawed, driven protagonist left a distinct mark on the Batman mythos.
