Mortigan Goth: Immortalis
Marvel UK · 1993–1994 · 4 issues
About the series
In the early '90s, Marvel UK spun a short, moody miniseries from writer Nick Vince and artist Mark Buckingham, following the immortal antihero Mortigan Goth across four issues (1993–1994). A dark fantasy tale tangling with the supernatural, it brought Mortigan into collision with Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, for a London-set clash of ancient curses and mystic might. This series stands as a distinctive British Marvel curio, showcasing Buckingham's early, atmospheric artwork before his celebrated runs on Fables and Dead Boy Detectives.
