About the series
A supernatural horror series from Image Comics, Monstress (2019–present) follows a young woman who discovers she is the reincarnation of a powerful, ancient witch, drawing her into a dark conflict with a secretive order of monster hunters. Written by Marjorie Liu with art by Sana Takeda, this Eisner Award-winning series is celebrated for its lush, intricate artwork and a richly imagined, steampunk-infused fantasy world. Though only three issues in, it has quickly established itself as a standout for its atmospheric storytelling and complex female-led narrative.
